"Z-Squad" chronicles the adventures of Chaney, Haemi, and Jeanie, three ordinary schoolgirls-turned-superheroes, and their cuddly alien counterparts (Zoots). The team searches for 144 enchanted crystals and 36 mischievous Zoots in order to save hunky Prince Aramis, Earth, and Z-Nation from a cast of bumbling baddies.
The series is a unique meld of traditional 2-D anime design with 3-D shading, resulting in rich lighting, and realistically textured, fantastical environments. Viewers feel transported to Z-Nation and back via a wild ride and humorous ride of color, sound, and light. Girls will cheer the competitive-spirited heroines and their sidekick Bernice; boys will back the sarcastic schoolboys called the Drop Dead Gorgeous Three, the powerful Prince Aramis, and the wise King Olaf. Parents will be pleased with the socially relevant themes of teamwork, sharing, moderation, and persistence.
In every episode, our heroines will prove "whether you succeed or fail, you'll achieve something great." Their voyage of discovery is definitely worth the trip!
